Funky Ski Hats

Funky Ski Hats

Winter is no reason not to have a little fashionable fun. Sure, you're covered from head to toe in several layers of bulky clothing, but that doesn't mean you can't jazz up that knit sweater-and-clunky boots ensemble. What better way to pop out against the snowy, white landscape than with a funky ski hat?

Basic ski hats, as they go, are mostly the ones in bonnet or beanie style, rounded on top and coming down over your ears. But innovative winter wear designers have come up with added features for the ski hat in recent years, lending more pizazz to the regular ski hat. There's the spiked ski hat, for example, which has a row of spikes running down or across the ski hat's crown. Some even end in a tail going down the back of the hat, kind of like a dinosaur's or a dragon's back. Another funky ski hat is the one with knots standing upright or short, hornlike protrusions on its crown. One ski hat model even has these spikes all over its top. Other ski hats have synthetic threads sewn on it to imitate hairstyles such as the mohawk or a shaggy head of hair.

Bright colors are quite common for ski hats, as ski hats not only provide comfort and warmth, but a statement as well. Though the usual black and white ski hats can be seen on the ski slopes, more noticeable are the combination of oranges, pinks, reds, bright blues and purples, yellows and neon greens strutting their stuff while having some winter fun.
